Dr. Melguizo is a principal economist and consultant at Telecom Advisory Services based in Colombia, specialized in public policies, economic growth and digital regulation. Angel has nearly 25 years of experience in the private (AT&T and BBVA) and public sectors (IDB, OECD, and the Economic Bureau of the Spanish Prime Minister). He has participated in several reforms across Latin Americas on telecommunications and digital policy, taxes, skills and social policies. Currently, he is a regional advisor for UNESCO on artificial intelligence and ethics in Latin America, and board member of asw_Replica, a big data and analytics start-up. He received his PhD and BA in economics from the Universidad Complutense, Madrid (Spain).
